vienna installed new pedestrian crosswalk lights showing pairs of people instead of single stick figures. and not just male/female couples, but also same-sex couples. how cute is that? right-wingers are predictably offended, but whatever. look at those adorable crossing lights.

what was the spinster? - recasting the single lady. it made me think of lily a little bit, altho she was married and isn't technically a spinster, and she's older than the women in the article.
speaking of lily, there's a tumblr called omg that dress that's full of vintage dresses that i keep picturing her in. like this one. or this one with maybe a different print. or this one, for more formal affairs. or this one. interestingly enough they're all from the 50s, which is when she was born. but now i wonder if she wears a lot of vintage, or if i just want to picture her in circle skirts.
(danny wears either nice suits or jeans and t-shirts. he's kind of one extreme or the other, sartorially. he doesn't do business casual.)
