happy mother's day to the mothers on the flist! you're all pretty cool people and i hope your kids know that. *smooches*

today i went to my parents' house to celebrate mother's day with the mothership and some of her cousins and some of their kids. i like my cousins, but when it was five o'clock and there were still a lot of people there - brunch started at eleven but i got there at ten to help set up - i was really ready to go home. i was kind of over-peopled. so of course i left the house at eight-thirty. >.< by which point i was REALLY over-peopled. but it was fun, overall. i made granola. i made A LOT of granola. i consequently have A LOT of granola left over.

artists' claims for spn-j2-bigbang were today and dear-tiger helpfully texted me when someone picked my summary - altho she didn't know i wasn't home and hadn't looked - and my response was "HOLY SHIT" and then "HOW??" i had actually made myself scarce from brunch so i could check the comm on my phone. so i have now been claimed, yay. which means i should maybe do a little more editing than i did yesterday. ahem.

can guys wear suits that aren't black to black-tie events? or is their only option a tux?

also, what's the scariest/creepiest/most disturbing book you ever read? mine is the headless cupid, by zilpha keatley snyder. i was eleven or twelve and it scared the ever-loving shit out of me, and was consequently the first book i never finished. i am now a grown-ass adult and i still can't bring myself to finish it.

the flist knows all, family fun, psa, bigbang 2015
