amnisias, fangirl and vidder! hopefully your winter has actually been a pleasant experience so far. ideally with cake. :D
dancing boys: *two-step*
it was sunny today! all day! i had no idea what to do with myself! i mean, sun and lots of it! how weird. and getting to work would have been pain-free except for the fact that it was bitter fucking cold and the bus was late. >.< altho given a choice, i think i'd rather wait in the cold than wait in the blowing snow.
it's supposed to snow tomorrow and sunday - hands up everyone who's surprised - and the t is already planning to shut down. jeebus. i want to curl on sunday but i'm a little wary of the blizzard.
apparently the fastest-selling playmobil figure is
martin luther of protestant reformation fame. playmobil is completely baffled. the german tourist board is pleased.
have y'all heard of cat cafes? they're big in japan oh god 80s earworm but now there are some in the us and one in canada (in montreal). relatedly, and weirdly, there's a
sheep cafe in south korea. those are the cleanest sheep i've ever seen. so if you're in seoul and happen to be feeling it for petting a sheep, you have a place to go.
oldest man in australia knits tiny sweaters for penguins. he's 109 and learned to knit eighty years ago so he could make little jumpers for his (then brand-new) nephew.
there seems to be a vikings marathon on the history channel. it's s1, the episode where ragnar and co go to uppsala to pray for sons and make some sacrifices, so athelstan has a beard and semi-viking hair and i hate it. he had better hair in s2. but still, vikings, i must watch. the new season starts on thursday. we're a little excited around here.
