didn't see penguins, expected to

today i went to the coffee place down the street to work on my bigbang, and it was FULL. that's the only time i've ever been there when there were no empty tables. they have a couch against the back wall, and even that was crowded with people. so i got my scrambled egg with cheese on a bagel (which is SO GOOD) to go and came home and cranked out some words at the dining room table. the bonus of being at home is that i can get online to google some random details. but one of the reasons i like the coffee place down the street is because it's not as crowded as often as the diesel! (which is ALWAYS PACKED.) (except at like nine at night.) this is what i get for staying in bed two hours longer than planned.

look, i have a flannel duvet cover. it's very cozy in the winter.

later i walked to the t station so i could get my comics, which was a good idea because i need the exercise and it was sunny out, but a bad idea because it was FUCKING COLD. i walked home too, when it was dark and even colder. >.< (i didn't have the patience to wait for the bus.) on the plus side, comics! and did i mention that i needed the exercise? also there were girl scouts in the harvard square t station, so i got a box of girl scout cookies. (and no, they are not made with real girl scouts.) the peanutbutter ones, yum.

seven-year-old girl really likes labyrinth, wants dolls. there are none to be found. dad makes her dolls from the ballroom scene. dad is pretty handy with a glue gun.

japanese guy recreates absurdly detailed scifi ships with paper - also the apollo 13 moon lander. and can i just say, holy fucking shit these are impressive.

holy shit cold, paper crafts, bigbang 2015, girl scout cookies, a++ parenting, too many people in the coffee place, labyrinth
