first, happy late birthday to halfshellvenus! penguinator. /('v')\ also ficcer and baker of interesting birthday cakes. hopefully someone else made the cake this year. :D and if not cake, something equally festive and tasty.

second, i may or may not get the week and a half off work from christmas to new year's. like, if there's nothing that has to be done right away the office will be effectively closed. and if you have to come in one or more of those days, you get an extra day(s) off in exchange. this is very exciting. i'm not going anywhere and not planning to go anywhere, but whatever, an extra four days of vacation. did i mention it was exciting?
third, stuff and things. :D and i can't remember what the third thing was.
apparently uranus was originally called george.
bear takes a nap on a utility pole, because canada. a power nap. heh.
if you use the waze navigation app, you can get ichabod crane's voice to give you directions. i think i'd be too distracted by the voice to pay attention to the directions.
and speaking of ichabod crane, a thing from last night:
if abbie is going to make sure ichabod can get along without her in the 21st century, she might want to consider teaching him cpr.
i just thought this was a really interesting article about miss rodeo america, which i'd never heard of. so much work, but kinda cool.
in december you'll be able to get peter quill's awesome mix vol 1 - from guardians of the galaxy - ON TAPE. like, an actual cassette. dust off those tape players, my fellow fen.
