with these ropes tied tight can we do no wrong

apparently my cosmic reward for writing about an occasional insomniac last night was to stay up until 5:30. in the morning. at which time the sky was getting noticeably lighter and i very seriously considered not even bothering to go to bed. (i went to bed.) what the hell, self? maybe i had a giant iced tea too late in the day. also i may or may not have spent some time on tumblr having feels. >.< and reblogging winter soldier meta because come on, it's me.

5:30, tho. jeebus. it's been so long since i did that, i forgot i could.

i think it hit 80º today. O.O i went over to my parents' house for dinner, which really meant i went to the store to pick up dinner, and as i pulled into the parking lot i swear the weather widget in my car said it was 81º. which, wow. it was so humid, tho. i turned into the humid bunny. *floof*

also i wrote slightly more of the original fic etc etc, aka the story of insomnia boy and his very patient best friend. (insomnia boy has more to him than that, i swear. he also bartends. and works in a pet supply store and kind of wishes he could have a dog.) (which he can't, because his very patient best friend who lives with him is allergic.) (you know the headcanon that clint barton knows how to ask "can i pet your dog" in seventeen languages? insomnia boy knows three - english, spanish, and sign language. altho his signing isn't great.) if i'm still awake at 5:30 in response to this i'm going to SHOOT SOMEONE.

this reminds me! are there any asthmatics in the audience? if so, what does an asthma attack feel like, and what if you have one when you're out and about and you don't have an inhaler or something? how do you get yourself to breathe again?

(i feel kind of bad asking people to share their unpleasant mental/physical conditions. altho the lovely folks who answered my insomnia questions were super helpful, partly because now i think i have to inflict anxiety on insomnia boy - untreated because unacknowledged, and that should be fun.)

the other thing about today that i think is worth repeating is that i spent some quality time driving fast and singing along with my ipod. god bless whoever invented the car/ipod interface. and yes i did listen to the von bondies' c'mon c'mon three times. it's a short song and it takes half an hour to get to my parents' house and half an hour to get home. there's some good singing time in there.

the flist knows all, weather, c'mon c'mon (jack and quince), you know i never sleep, research
