i have a new faucet! and i finally got pie
we didn't get pie at work for pi(e) day on friday - altho we did last year - costcutting, hmph - but we did get chocolate all over the office for st patrick's day today. (you know, hershey's kisses in green foil, green apple tootsie rolls, caramel bunnies in green wrappers, mint dove chocolates.) personally i would've had pie, but hey, i never turn down chocolate. i may or may not have stashed some in my desk drawer for later.
also and quite randomly i got a starbucks card from work in the mail today. time for a tasty frou-frou coffee and maybe a cookie.
aside from all the chocolate it was pretty boring today. i spent a lot of time reading entries for therealljidol and occasionally feeling inadequate about mine. >.<
the saga of the kitchen sink ended saturday morning when the plumber showed up and installed a new faucet, and eventually the cabinet under the sink dried out, and i started washing all the dishes that had gotten wet. so everything is almost back to normal. yay. on saturday i also wrote a bunch of words for my bigbang (still no shape and no title, but i'm still not worried about either) and went to the library for some research, by which i mean i sat on the floor in front of the shelf that had what i needed and took notes on my laptop until the library closed and they kicked me out. then i went to the comic store, bought comics, chatted with the owner and one of the guys who works there and a random customer, and then bought myself dinner. ramen, yum. (i was craving it on friday but, well, sink emergency.)
yesterday i did a whole lot of nothing - well, besides go to the grocery store and watch the losers which was on tv - go petunias! - and because i didn't have curling (my team had a bye) i went to my parents' house and let them feed me. :D we had soda bread and it was yummy. also! pie! finally! a nice blueberry from whole foods.
