watched elementary, enjoyed it.
the case didn't make any sense to me after about twenty minutes, but i was really watching for joan and sherlock and lestrade. joan trying to get lestrade to see himself as a viable detective again was lovely, as was sherlock pretending he'd set up the mugger and congratulating lestrade on figuring it out, because he thought that was what lestrade needed. the cocks still amuse me. but there was no clyde! also watched vikings and enjoyed that.
thoroughly enjoyed all the athelstan, altho i still hate his hair and i wish he would shave, but there was no lagertha! none! and i don't trust aslaug.

i know it's kind of late for oscars news, but for the fashion curious,
here's a poster of what all the winning lead actresses wore to the ceremony. (lupita nyong'o's fabulous blue dress isn't on there.) luise rainer, who won in 1938,
collected her oscar wearing her nightgown.

longish but very nice article about a nun whose ministry is the trans community - she treats them with the love and respect that the catholic church doesn't. it's sad that this kind of thing is so rare that it merits a lengthy online article, tho.
