i'm kind of an idiot but at least i have cupcakes
i keep thinking of things i want to share and then forgetting them before i can share them. >.< it snowed pretty much all day today and yet it didn't stick. too warm and too windy. i have to say, i really liked looking out the windows at work and seeing all this snow blowing around. it was oddly pretty. apparently we're supposed to get an actual storm tomorrow night. yay?
on saturday my sister hosted a murder mystery potluck dinner on a 50s teen gang theme - think grease - no, seriously - and i made snowball cupcakes, which are just vanilla cupcakes frosted all over and rolled in coconut. i had to bring half of them home and took all the leftovers (except two) to work today, where the locusts coworkers eventually ate them.
say you turn the water off in your house because you're going out of town for an extended length of time. then say your daughter comes over to water your plants and check for leaks and borrow a big plastic container, and she uses the downstairs bathroom before she realizes that turning off the water to the house ----> the toilets not flushing. how does she get the toilet to flush?
not that i did this last night or anything. ahem.
i watched approximately five minutes of the super bowl, because they turned it on at the curling club and we got off the ice before the game started. the bartender made everyone shut up for the national anthem. the club gets canadian tv so there were a lot of ads for tim horton's and canadian tire, and i had to watch all the american super bowl ads online today. the stephen colbert pistachio ads were cute, and the america the beautiful coke ad may or may not have made me tear up slightly. and the cheerios ad! it's the return of the interracial couple and the world's most adorable daughter! awww. i don't mind that i missed seeing them live, tho.
