also, a happy passover to the jews on the flist! as it is said: they tried to kill us, they failed, let's eat. may you not get sick of matzah before next week. :D
last night my parents had a small seder - just us, one of my sister's friends, and one of my mom's friends - and it was very nice and chill, especially in comparison to the early seder of way too many people (ie, nineteen) that was sunday. seven kids all under the age of thirteen. (well, the twins might be just thirteen, but still.) all the kids sat at one end of the table and all the adults sat at the other and my dad tried gamely to lead the seder and the kids' various parents and grandparents (and my mom) tried gamely to keep the kids involved, but after a while they got kind of restless. they're all pretty well-behaved kids in general, but you put them all together and, well, they're seven kids all under the age of thirteen. (they're all cousins. and six of them are boys.) it was fun at least, and i like that side of the family, and the food was good.
i worked from home yesterday because taking public transportation to and from my parents' house is the biggest pain in the ass - especially at 10:30 at night - and what with one thing and another (a. having to go back to work to get my work laptop power cord >.< and b. not being able to get online with the aforementioned work laptop) i didn't actually get started until one. oy. i'm home again today (my sister is making dinner and, again, so much easier to get home from her house by car, and also i made a cake and didn't want to take it to work to take it to her house) and am about to get shit done (tm). go me. :D
i think i'm behind on my bigbang again, altho only 300 words behind and i have a whole bunch of scenes i should finish up and a couple more characters to introduce, and i missed the first few minutes of vikings on sunday but let's be honest, i don't think i missed anything significant. and i really, really, really want someone to write a modern-day au. (i saw the suggestion on tumblr. someone get on that!) or maybe an rps au, where travis fimmel keeps tying george blagden to things. i am really, really enjoying the show.
