two posts in two days! ooooh.
every day on the way to and from work i pass the dreamy flavor restaurant - seriously, that's what the banner across the front window says - i think it's "italian style" - there's a bus stop right in front of it and every night on the way home i'm half tempted to get off the bus and try it out of curiosity. i haven't yet. tonight i got fed at work, anyway. (chicken, corn salad, pasta, salad-salad, dessert. they feed you if you're there late. i'm ok with this. tomorrow night is stir-fry.)
my writing group theoretically meets this wednesday, except we're not because the two people who were supposed to submit something... didn't. one of those people recently bought a house and moved and then her cat got sick and now she thinks she's getting sick and, y'know, she has some good excuses. the other person is me. i do not have good excuses. i do not have any excuses. i just don't have anything to submit. i do have like half my picfor1000 fic in my head, but not on paper and not in anything remotely approaching coherence. i feel super guilty. also it makes me feel like a failure kind of like maybe i should take a hiatus from writing group until i've turned in my bigbang draft and can concentrate on something else.
speaking of bigbang, i need to write 300 words tonight to stay more or less on track. also i'm suffering from a complete inability to determine when exactly the story is set. option 1 is more historically accurate, but option 2 makes a bunch of random details fit better. i keep changing my mind about which i like more. >.<
from the department of incredibly cute, i bring you a nerdy girl proposing to her nerdy girlfriend with a d20 engagement ring. (that's a twenty-sided die, for those of you who don't play d&d style tabletop rpg's.) geeky and adorable!
did anyone besides me and wrenlet watch vikings last night? if so, what did you think? i liked it, myself, but i like viking stories. i expect women in battle any time now.
