stuff. things. movies. tv. job!

a knight's tale was on earlier and i have to say, this movie never gets any less silly. i really watch it for paul bettany. :D and alan tudyk. "i think it's time we celebrated our differences. ...well, maybe not yours."

last night for valentine's day my sister and i saw django unchained, which is hysterically violent in parts, but also kind of funny. the music is anachronistic as hell but it also really works, it's full of actors whose voices and/or faces were really familiar, and i liked it. it was longer than we were expecting, altho it also had the shortest closing credits ever. and it meant i missed elementary. don't tell me what happened!

the weirdest thing that i like about my job so far is that because i get up at eight and don't have to get the bus until 9:26, i have time in the morning to do shit. which usually means i make lunch, i eat breakfast, i watch some of whatever movie happens to be on tv, i get dressed at my leisure. this morning i did a load of laundry and washed a sink full of dishes, and i felt all productive n' domestic n' shit. it's so strange to have all this spare time in the mornings, but i like it.

so apparently there's going to be a tv series about hannibal lecter, like a prequel to the silence of the lambs, starring mads mikkelsen. and hugh dancy. and gillian anderson. and gina torres. my anticipatory squee cannot be measured. i mean, look at that cast! oh, and also lawrence fishburne. there is no bad here. i don't particularly want to wait until april, but whatever, if i can wait until then for defiance (julie benz as a human, tony curran as an alien, a bunch of other people whose names i can't remember), i can wait for hannibal.

i totally forgot to send in love for svmadelyn's valentine's day game, so i was pleased as hell to see someone left me some love! thank you, whoever you are. <3 (altho i'm kind of amused at the "enthusiasm" part, because i currently don't feel enthusiastic about anything, except maybe the fact that i'm going to florida next weekend. there's a beach and a fried fish sandwich in my future.)

the halfamoon awesome ladies podfic anthology III contains four - count 'em - podficlets by me! the anthology is ten and a half hours long, and while i can only comment on the ficlets i podded, i can say with a degree of certainty that it's full of cool stuff. there's a googledoc with links to all the individual fics and podfics, if you want to know what you're getting before you get it.

movie review, the flist is love, yay employment, mads mikkelsen, tony curran, a knight's tale, hannibal, evp
