last sunday i went to the car show with the family unit, because why not, and because i'm me i took a bunch of pictures.
an orange prius! i love this color. it's a fruit on wheels.
the prius my mom wants. also a nice color.
the accord my sister wants. i also really like this color.
an isetta microcar. i think this one is from 1955. the poster behind it says "useless facts". hee. you'll note it doesn't have doors, because...
...it opens from the front.
a lexus lfa, which goes for about $375k, or the price of a house. (possibly two houses, depending on where you live.) if i owned that car i would never take it out of the garage, unless i could have it shipped to arizona or somewhere i could take it out on the highway and run it up to 120 mph.
a new lexus (not the lfa, because you weren't allowed to climb inside it) with an old-fashioned analog clock.
i just thought this volvo was cute from the back.
why would you do that to a bentley?? (am i the only person who thinks under-car lighting is cheesy unless you're paul walker driving a tricked-out honda in 2 fast 2 furious?)
a mclaren with the doors up. the only cooler door style is the gull-wing.
why they put this car on a pedestal - literally - i will never know. it's an impala. and not even an interesting-looking impala, either.
a rolls royce ghost. it's saying hello. :D (most of the cars had spec sheets, or whatever they're called, with all the specifications and fancy options and mileage and whatnot for that model, plus the price. the rolls had a list of all the features, but no price. i guess if you have to ask, you can't afford it.)
so that was my sunday. :D
relatedly,
boxes of fords. before metal cargo containers, you used giant wooden boxes to transport your cars.
this looks cool -
a month of letters, in which you send something in the mail every day in february there's mail delivery.
...i keep wanting an oatmeal cookie and i keep forgetting i haven't made them yet. yeesh.
