and now for the "give me your recs!" post of the day
to wit: for those of you who are into such things, pimp to me your favorite illustrators and comic book artists (print, indie, web, whatever) and/or your favorite fan artists! (for fan artists i'm more interested in traditional media - pen, pencil, that kind of thing, even if the person draws on a tablet and not paper - rather than, like, photoshopped graphics and stuff.)
also! pimp to me your favorite web comics! stuff with an ongoing story in a comic page type format, like the less than epic adventures of tj and amal or freakangels or friends with boys, rather than strip format (like sluggy freelance). i'm interested in the art and extras and general site layout more than the story, as a reference point, altho the story's important too.
(let me take this opportunity to rec friends with boys, for it is VERY CUTE. also coming out in print next year, so you can support the writer/artist and have it on your shelf to loan out or to read over and over.)
