way too much packing other people's stuff this weekend
i spent a big chunk of yesterday helping tamalinn finish packing and move out of her place and (temporarily) into mine. and then she took me out for dinner and we met some of her friends for drinks, and i had a very short but super interesting conversation with a guy who recognized the tattoo on my arm because a. he grew up in oak park, and b. he actually went to the avery coonley school, to which i said "i didn't know it was an actual school!" i mean, i knew mrs coonley ran a kindergarten - that's what the avery coonley playhouse was built for - but i had no idea it was bigger than a kindergarten and also that it was still going. NIFTY.
this is why i wanted a tattoo that people could see - you have some really interesting conversations with total strangers.
and then i spent a slightly smaller chunk of today helping my sister finish packing, as she is moving tomorrow. (she hired movers so i won't have to assist with the actual moving.) and now i think i've been around people for too long and am glad that right this second tamalinn is out with some of her friends and i'm chilling out by myself.
helping my sister pack and seeing the chaos in her house made me want to get right on sorting and packing my own stuff. i'm all itchy with it.
and now i'm watching leverage for the second time and enjoying it, by which i mean i'm enjoying watching eliot and hardison and parker, as per usual. :D and i mostly liked in plain sight, altho everyone seemed slightly off. and i liked haven on friday, altho i think i liked last week's episode better. and i'm not too confused for starting with s2.
