happy birthday ephemera! one of my very favoritest people. :D you are my battybrain and i love you. even if i seem to be lacking in the gift-giving this year.... hm. i hope you at least get cake!

yesterday i had a random day off [1] and went to see wesleysgirl and, uh, meet her kitten - this is not a metaphor, as the kitten's name is valentine and she is VERY CUTE and also VERY FUZZY - and we tried and failed to buy sneakers and we went out for lunch and i learned how to play angry birds (wg has an ipad and she let me play around with it) and we hung out and chatted and then justhuman showed up in preparation for muskrat jamboree and then i got to hang out with her too and much fun was had and it had started SNOWING by the time i drove home. o.O SNOW. so there was SNOW on my car this morning.
but mostly i got to see wg, and that's always good.
and in that vein, how to make your own playable angry birds cake - using chocolate cake, chocolate-covered wafer cookies, and fondant. and some frosting. and a catapult. i love nerdy cakes.
i could not remotely concentrate on criminal minds on wednesday, altho i liked the case, altho i thought it was really sad. but i couldn't concentrate on the team parts. i still harbor bitterness at the way the ptb treated jj and prentiss, and it is TOTALLY affecting my enjoyment of the show. justified i really liked, tho, even if i did spend a lot of time facepalming at raylan.
i won biscotti for help_japan. this excites me. i mean, homemade biscotti! there is no bad there. also, randomly, i got a nifty userhead from brinylon, who i don't even know. pretty cool, tho, huh?
