dancing boys: *boogie*
by now i'm pretty sure i'm only watching the chicago code for caleb and liam. (but not together!)
i mean, caleb is SO CUTE, and he's smart and determined and i love watching him and jarek try to work with each other, and liam is, well, liam is played by billy lush which is automatically a point in his favor but i'm also really, really intrigued by his storyline. there's some gray in it, where all the other main characters seem to be either good guys (caleb, jarek, the commissioner) or bad guys (gibbons, his cronies), and the good guys maybe struggle with it and the bad guys manipulate with it and i kind of want someone who i honestly believe could go either way. i mean, there's no question gibbons is on the wrong side of the law, and he'll always be on the wrong side of the law and even when it looks like he's on the right side? he really isn't. he doesn't do anything unless it benefits him. and teresa will always be on the clean side of justice, and she does things that benefit the cpd. and, ok, they benefit her too, but i don't think she weighs every single decision to see what she personally can get out of it, and what she can get out of whom. (i like her, don't get me wrong. but there's no question she'll always be a white hat.) but liam? i think he could fall either way. and i like that.
altho who knows, after last night.... he had kind of a "this is not what i signed up for" moment.
cute child sighting of yesterday: a little girl wearing pink rain boots and a corduroy skirt and tights with different patterns on each leg - one leg was striped and the other had big circles on it. she was adorable anyway, what with the pink boots, but the dual-patterned tights just made her that much cuter.
and today i saw a whole bunch of little dogs wearing coats and sweaters. it was that kind of day.
starbucks has cake pops! and teeny lemon squares! and wee little peanutbutter cupcakes and red velvet moon pies! i asked one of the guys at starbucks how they were selling, and he said well, we only put them out an hour and a half ago.... heh. in any case, i'm a fan of the bite-sized baked good.
