i'm standing here on the ground
so let me get this straight:
dewey crow is riding an oxy bus up from florida
a couple guys hold up the bus, shoot someone, and steal the oxy
everyone thinks boyd crowder is involved
boyd is kinda pissed that people think that
dewey impersonates raylan in the process of stealing the oxy back
mags' son who's a sheriff confronts raylan, but the witness who watched dewey take the oxy gets one look at him and goes "that's not the guy"
she identifies dewey enough for raylan to show up at his trailer
the two guys who held up the bus (and have now lost the oxy) likewise show up at the trailer
everyone starts shooting at everyone else
mags' son the sheriff shows up, finds out the two guys were working for his brothers, and kills them (the bus guys, not his brothers)
aaaaand now law enforcement has the oxy? and mags' two drug-running sons know their brother killed a couple guys to keep the dixie mafia off their asses
so who's the dixie mafia? i'm guessing the oxy was originally theirs and they're gonna want it back. i'm also guessing their operation isn't related to mags' pot growing. but are/were they connected to bo crowder? are we about to get yet a third criminal organization for raylan to watch out for?
i'm still not sure i trust that boyd has really gone straight, but i like how much the show seems to want us to think he has. all he wants is to work at the mine, drink at the bar, and sleep in ava's house. (but not with ava! which i find interesting but actually not surprising.) he just wants some peace and quiet and for everyone to leave him the hell alone. but no one trusts him, except maybe ava, and i think that's just because she needs his money. eventually someone will have to start actively believing that he's mr law-abiding, or he'll have to do something to prove he isn't. but right now, it's a tension i really like.
also, raylan's a dumbass as regards winona. and i don't think she's particularly smart as regards him either. and i feel kind of bad for ava, altho she and raylan were never going to last. and i really, really like raylan's boss. "and i thought sleeping with a witness was stupid!" heee. and i love that abe was all "do i need to worry about tim because he just shot someone?" and raylan goes on about tim having seen him and winona at the bar. *facepalm*
oh, and also "what if you'd missed?" "i never miss." do not impugn tim's shooting skills. he is a badass. he just looks kind of sweet and innocent.
i was thinking last night about the divorced couples on the shows i like, and how raylan and winona are different from danny and rachel on h50, or hank and gretchen on terriers. (or hotch and haley on cm, i guess.) and i decided it's mostly that everyone else is more of an adult about it than raylan and winona.
