I like the IDEA of AO3, and I put my stuff there. I'm not in love with their atrocious tagging system, or the filtering system, but it's getting better.

i myself don't plan to use it to read fic, i just want another place for people to read mine. :D (that sounds kind of selfish....) do the tagging and filtering make it hard for people to find stuff to read?

It's so much easier to find things on AO3 than on any other fic site I've ever used (like the SSA or ff.n or Yuletide or LJ/DW). Yeah the filter system is still in beta and needs to be revised more, but that's in the works, and the tagging system is... Well, when I see people say it sucks, I wonder what magical sites they know that I don't that have better ones. Because they should point me to them.

the tagging system didn't seem a whole lot different from lj's, except you're searching the whole archive for tags instead of just one person's journal. but i only poked at it a little bit, mostly to see what other kinds of white collar fics were there, and if i'm just trying to do one thing, and i can do that one thing, then as far as i'm concerned it works for me. :D altho i don't care if it works for me - i need it to work for other people who will actually be reading there. so it's nice to know it does.

Searching the same tag on the whole archive is exactly why I like it and why I think it works well.
