mostly tv, also i could use a nap
the weather is just gorgeous today - if you don't count the bitter, bitter cold - sunny, blue skies, no breeze, and all i want to do is sleep. >.< i woke myself up from a freaky-ass dream at about three this morning and then i couldn't go back to sleep on account of i had a horrible headache (and also my heart was racing because the dream freaked me out that much ), and now i just want to go home and become one with the couch.
my couch is great for napping on.
some things about h50!
a. i turned it on too late to see danny on a surfboard. which i'm guessing was kono trying to teach him to surf? janedavitt kindly posted some screencaps, at least. man, scott's hot. i still think grace park is too skinny, tho. pretty, and i wouldn't mess with her because i think she's stronger than she looks, but ALL BONES.
b. i knew there was no actual tsunami. and i didn't even see the beginning.
c. i really watch for the steve/danny bickering. i love it like pie. i mean, danny constantly going "can we please move to higher ground? what about now? maybe now? did you miss the newsflash about the TSUNAMI? if i have to die on this island, which i never should've moved to in the first place, i don't want your face to be the last thing i see." ...ok, so maybe i watch for the danny bickering. and also, wow, daniel dae kim can cut glass with his cheekbones. holy cow. O.O
d. are we supposed to assume that mark dacascos (wo fat? what's the character's name?) is responsible for returning the $10m that steve stole to save chin ho? or are we just supposed to understand that someone returned it? someone in the hpd? in government? (steve accidentally took it from another evidence locker, so it was never missing from this particular pile?) or should we just handwave that? i was pleased that the money came back to haunt them, tho. continuity!
e. kamekono is completely adorable. i love that he and his fam (friends? i'm pretty sure it came up in dialogue but i can't remember) were trying to give grace a hawaiian history lesson with sock puppets. and danny was all "don't tell her the part about the guy throwing his enemies off a cliff!" and she was all "dad, can i go home now?" heh.
f. was danny actually tie-less??
it's a fun show but man, you cannot watch for the plot. it reallllly makes me want to go to hawaii, too.
and a couple questions about cm!
what's the point of the new girl? i mean, does she add anything to the team? is there a plot type reason for her to be there? and how does garcia find time to do the "pick a case to investigate" part of jj's job? or did the bau get someone else to do that?
