my sister got me the first season of white collar because she loves me, and because when she asked "so what do you want for your birthday", that's what i told her. it is my happy place, and so i am pleased. also my parents gave me money, as they do, which i am going to use to buy shoes for curling. i've been doing it enough years i should have my own shoes, y'know?
(saying that just reminds me of a buffy quote:
"i'm also a swell bowler."
"even has his own shoes."
"the gods themselves do tremble."
you've all heard that there's a buffy reboot in the works, right? hands up anyone who actually wants to see it. i admit i'm a tiny bit interested in a trainwrecky kind of way, and i think that with the way the series ended, it is entirely possible to make a buffy-verse movie without actually needing buffy to be in it. but i also think it's too soon for a reboot. (the screenwriter compares her idea to redo buffy with christopher nolan's batman movies, which i think a. sets the bar really high for a woman with no screenwriting credits, and b. is not the best analogy.) and the fact that joss isn't involved, when he's still around to be involved, isn't a great sign.)
