what do y'all know about breaking into the music business? say you're an aspiring singer/songwriter/musician who isn't 100% sure if you want to be a solo artist or part of a band or if you want to write songs for other people - how the hell do you get jobs? where do you start? should i be asking this on the nanowrimo forum?
oh, i'm doing nano this year. later there will be a poll.
also and unrelated, those of you who have a tumblr, what do you use it for? what do you post on it? because i kind of want one except i'm not sure what i'd do with it. i suspect it would be kind of like twitter for me - a clearinghouse for cool shit. like, i don't know how much i'd use it, aside from tracking other tumblrs. is that a waste of a tumblr?
