the monthly fic roundup for the almost-springy month of april is, like march, a lot of words for a story i can't show you yet. and now that my bigbang rough draft is done and off to beta, i have no idea what to do with myself. i don't know what to write. i don't know what i want to write. this is kind of weird. no doubt i'll get over it.

and there's a water warning in greater boston on account of a catastrophic leak in a water pipe. (that's what they're calling it - a "catastrophic leak".) so we have to boil our water if we want to drink or wash dishes with it. woo. safe to wash yourself in, just not your dishes. (i got a robocall from the city of somerville and a phone call from my landlady. and it popped up on lj and twitter. i feel all informed n' shit.)

i have a blister on the ball of my foot from walking all over half of creation in my sandals. this is not encouraging. i like these sandals!

currently watching master and commander. (well, my other option is x-men: the last stand and... no.) russell crowe, paul bettany, period costumes, kinda slashy. good stuff. :D
