angels on ariels in leather and chrome

is lj running slow for anyone else or is it just our connection at work?

my sister and i went to nyc for the weekend and walked a lot and she found some nice leather purses on sale (70% off, which is some sale but also leads me to believe that they were INCREDIBLY marked up) and spent waaaay too much time dithering over which style she wanted. a quick decision-maker she is not. we saw a show - looped, which is about tallulah bankhead spending five hours instead of five minutes rerecording one line for a movie - and walked to the high line park and ate too much for brunch and walked A LOT and came home. very relaxing, even with all the walking.

(note for raksha13: it was totally a flying visit and i wouldn't have had time to see you, which is why i never mentioned it. but i want to come back later this summer to climb the statue of liberty and maybe we can meet up then.)

i'm trying to catch up on a weekend of lj. i may or may not succeed.

yesterday on the train home i decided i wanted to write a modern-day j2 au for nanowrimo. >.< i am clearly losing my mind. is there some kind of rps/rpf etiquette or something for writing an entirely new 'verse for each story? because once my bigbang ends, that's it, the story's over, there isn't any more. and if i want to write j2 - which apparently i do - i'd have to basically start over with a whole new setting. but honestly? i shouldn't be thinking about this. i can't think about anything until i finish my bigbang, or i won't finish my bigbang. i think i have a title for it, tho. woo. (i have a title for the potential nanonovel too, tho.)

i really don't want to be at work. it's a nice day out and i have things to do.

what's up with you guys? tell me something fun.

bigbang, rpf omg, weekend wrapup, nanowrimo
