happy (late >.< ) birthday
shenya! kiwi, writer, and quiet person on lj.... there's always cake. :D and dancing boys, natch.
dancing boys: *two-step*
part of the way home from work, i was behind a car with a license plate holder that said "and on the 8th day god created russell crowe". heh.
check out
google today. it's sir isaac newton's birthday. (just move your mouse on the page. :D )
i deposited my paycheck, promptly forgot to pay my rent, and celebrated the new year by buying
her. i admit i was attracted because of the chin tattoo and the fuzzy kiwi. i used to collect madame alexander dolls. the countries, anyway. the first one i got was denmark, and she was $13 and came from a store in nashville called mcclure's, and i remember this because her box is in my parents' basement with the price sticker still on it. now they're a little more than that, so when i find them marked down i get excited. and i don't have new zealand. (but i do have australia....)
saturday my sister and i saw nine, which i liked more than she did. i even liked nicole kidman. i didn't realize kate hudson and marion cotillard could sing, but hey, they can! and it looks really good. i wasn't expecting it to be so much of a musical, but i liked the song and dance bits. and daniel day-lewis is kinda hot in his middle(ish) age.
also we saw a trailer for 44 inch chest with ray winstone, and i had about a five-minute internal squeegasm. my love for him is a long-time thing, and his appearance in movies makes me happy.
