work appeared halfway thru writing this post and interrupted me

the house down the street seems to have acquired windows in my absence. when i get home i'll have to take some pictures.

my goal for wincon next year is to leave the hotel more than once during the course of the weekend. if we go to chicago, there are tons of nifty frank lloyd wright buildings just waiting to be seen. and i will bring you all with me, you wait and see. :D

(i think san antonio is another option, in which case... alamo! i will not quote my dad here, in the interests of not offending the texans on my flist.)

i really like sons of anarchy. i just want to put that out there. also i'm glad that chibs is apparently not dead, as i did not watch an entire season of tommy flanagan just to see him get killed by an exploding van. and i'm kind of curious if half-sack got his nuticle yet, because i want to see the rest of the guys making fun of him for it. heh.

last night, because i'm kind of an idiot that way, i stayed up late enough to catch an entirely random episode of highlander the series, which i have never seen and which was a bit cheesetastic in a late 80s/early 90s tv kinda way. i mention this mostly because joan jett of all people was the guest star, and i was a little weirded out. i didn't recognize her and so had to look up the episode on imdb, because i thought she looked and sounded familiar but i had no idea who she was. altho that explains why one of the characters was playing the runaways song cherry bomb (on vinyl, even)....

as it is now getting on towards soup season, i kind of want to try making soup. (because my plan to learn to make bread this summer went SO well....) so lay on me your favorite soup recipes that you think i should try. the only caveat is that i have to be able to freeze whatever i make. i mean, there's only one of me and yes i can be a bottomless pit, but a giant pot's worth of soup is too much soup even for me.

the house down the street, sons of anarchy, tv actor cross-pollination, the flist knows all, winchestercon, cooking
