my car overheated on the way home from work. >.< the check engine light went on, smoke drifted out from under the hood, i freaked the fuck out, and pulled into a gas station with a garage. someone will look at it tomorrow and tell me what's wrong and how many parts need to be replaced. (besides the radiator, apparently.) it's eleven years old - is overheating at this point normal? is it a bad sign? should i be wondering how much it's going to cost to replace the radiator and fix whatever else needs to be fixed, or should i be contemplating getting a new car? i have decided not to panic, because what would be the point now that it's somewhere a mechanic can look it over, and instead am mostly annoyed that it will take me an hour and a half to get to work tomorrow morning. >.<
in the grand scheme of things it could be a lot worse, right?
