happy birthday
jola! grower of tomatoes, keeper of catty dollfies, and generally fabulous human being. also one of the few people i know on lj who i knew before lj. i have cake and dancing boys. :D
dancing boys: *rock out with their cocks out*
enjoyed burn notice last night. figured out where the plot was going before it got there, but still enjoyed it. i like the spy stuff and the occasional explosion, and also michael in a suit. :D also i watched the ark of truth, the stargate movie, which was on before it and was also fun. i had a headache all day which made concentrating kind of hard, but at least the tv was good.
and then tonight is primeval, which is silly and i don't even know who all the characters are but i watch it anyway - i did like the episode with tony curran, and not just because he a. got to play a knight in shining armor (literally), b. didn't die, and c. got to kiss a pretty girl - and criminal minds, which i think is garcia-centric which will be nice.
there's a bus tour of frank lloyd wright homes in new york on june 20 -
out and about wright - it starts with a lecture at the guggenheim and includes a bunch of tours of privately-owned wright-designed homes, with dinner at one of them. the lecture starts at 11 am and the bus gets back to nyc around 10 pm and if i went i'd have to stay overnight somewhere and come back to boston sunday morning, and oh yeah sunday is father's day and if my dad wants to have brunch i'll have to leave nyc at the buttcrack of dawn to get home in time and the tour is $250 and i cannot believe i'm seriously trying to figure out how i could go. >.< but it pushes so many of my buttons....
this weekend i think i'll sleep late and go see terminator salvation again (i rented charlie bartlett on tuesday and have had anton on the brain) and maybe look up some bread recipes, as i have inherited a large bag of whole wheat flour from my sister and bread seems like a good use for it. have i mentioned that one of my projects for the summer is to learn how to make bread?
