is it too much to ask to get the right information the first time?

dear boss,

if you need me to find correspondence and building options for a project in west chester (which is in pennsylvania) while you're in a meeting, you need to write "west chester" on the note. if you write "port chester" (which is what you did), i'll be looking in the wrong place and will be unable to find the information you want because it doesn't exist for that particular project. and then when you get back from your meeting and i tell you i couldn't find anything, i look stupid, when in fact i was going off your note which was wrong.

i can't read your mind. don't make me try. and don't make me look stupid, either.

no love,

your employee who is actually a lot more competent than she seemed to be this morning

work, annoyance
