pop culture at work, or cindy's coworker watches some of the same tv she does
landscaping fail! i'm kind of hoping that building contains offices for some gay porn production company. hee.
rich the coworker who doesn't even own a tv has been watching bsg on hulu.com, which means i have someone to argue discuss with. he seems to think starbuck is a cylon. i keep trying to tell him that she isn't. he's an episode behind, but so far that hasn't been a problem. i'm just really careful not to spoil him for the most recent episode. also i spent some quality time trying to pimp leverage to him, but i'm not sure how successful i was, and hulu only has the last four episodes minus the finale, so i'd have to, say, burn a disk for him. and also put them in the right order, and not the order in which they were aired.
and also - this is probably only weird if you're me and you know rich, because this really doesn't seem like his kind of thing, bsg notwithstanding - he read some interview with joss whedon that impelled him to watch both episodes of dollhouse. his reaction seems to be that he doesn't like the set and doesn't think eliza is that great an actress, but the show has potential it's just not living up to. he says "are you watching dollhouse?" and i say no, it's on the same time as fnl. (which i also tried to recommend.) i'm not used to having pop culture discussions at work about things that we've both seen. it's pretty nifty.
enjoyed burn notice last night, altho i was kind of eh on the guest star (the character, not the actress) and her whole storyline. but the "who burned me and who's trying to kill me" stuff, that's still good.
earlier today i had the worst itchy writing finger and kind of wanted to appeal to the flist for prompts because none of my wips were interesting, but i reallllllly need to work on my picfor1000 fic, even tho i don't know what to do with it any more and am kind of tempted to start a new fic and just finish this one later when i don't have a word limit. even tho the deadline is tomorrow. argh.
it's like spring here! and tomorrow it's supposed to be 40º and sunday we might get snow. i'm so confused.
