new jeans, woo. more meme.
thing the first: i went to the gap on saturday to buy some jeans and was dismayed to learn that while they carry my size in styles i actually like that look fine on me, they don't carry my size in my length. as in, the helpful salesgirl said they just don't stock the ankle length (ie, the gap's version of "short" :D ) but i can order them online. and i went "...o.O" and then she wrote down the item numbers for the two styles i liked, and then i went home and ordered them. (as my credit card actually worked back then. >.< ) they came today and i tried them on when i got home and i am thus now the proud owner of new jeans that fit in the hips, stomach, and thigh and are also not stupidly long. yay. \o/
i like the gap. their jeans look ok on me again. they haven't in the past couple years.

dude! ewan mcgregor! made by ephemera. i think she did a bunch of animated "real men wear eyeliner" icons with assorted real men wearing eyeliner. i just happened to like ewan the best. he's very cute, a good actor (altho not so consistent with the american accent...), doesn't seem to take himself seriously, and also pretty hot. i use this one when i feel like it, or when i think the situation calls for a hottie in guyliner. :D

ru was a character i used to write, a tall skinny gothboy who had a rampageous crush on his best friend trent (as written by ephemera) and eventually ended up in a threesome with trent and the boy trent had a crush on, a skater named erin (as written by cicirossi). ru has a pair of shiny vinyl pants for clubbing, and his distinguishing physical feature, besides being tall and skinny, is the eleven facial piercings. if you look closely, you can see the roo (of kanga and...) in the icon is pierced eleven times and is wearing - you got it - vinyl pants. i think they're made out of electrical tape or something, but whatever. and the point i should have made first, before all the tangenting, is that ephemera sent me the roo in the icon, and either i took a picture of him or she had one and sent me, so i could make an icon for use in ru-related fic posts. (he also has a sadly-neglected lj - runeden.)

this one's by saunteringdown, who did the "i'll pick one of your interests and make an icon" meme a while ago. one of my interests is "vampires", so she made an icon totally poking fun at the dark, erotic princes of the night that show up in a lot of vamp fic. i love that it's kind of a snarky icon, and i use it when i want to laugh at my suckitude. :D

little cartoony padfoot and moony from _hdcomic. (that would be sirius black in dog form and remus lupin in wolf form, for them what are not instantly familiar with everyone in the harry potter 'verse.) i just thought it was a really cute icon. the little heart! sirius' tail wagging! i don't use it that often and i tend to only use it in response to bunnymcfoo. it's just a random adorable icon without a specific purpose.

and now i should eat and call my sister. i think i've talked to her almost every night this week. i blame the anniversary party.
