missed dr who last night on account of going to tamalinn's to hang out with her and thistle90 and peggin who are briefly in town, ate lots, came home, fell asleep at... ELEVEN-THIRTY. O.O i was tired, ok? i can pretty well guess how dr who turned out, but if anyone wanted to give me details, that would be fab. :D
emailed my sister yesterday about dad's birthday dinner - basically "this is what i decided to make, you bring the wine" - altho i should've added "also bring the wine glasses" - i don't own wine glasses and you may laugh at me :> - have not heard back. will see her tonight. am not particularly worried that she might be annoyed i'm only telling her what to do two days in advance. it shouldn't be that hard to find a nice wine, right?
oh, i need to get some napkins too.
and i think i overtoasted my bagel. *crunch*
in fannish news, i finally got my lovely diecast model metallicar, and her interior is white. >.< it does say that on the web site and i clearly misread it. you think i can paint the seats or something? i am currently lacking wee model shotguns to put in the trunk, but that can be remedied. ditto a wee map and john's journal for the front seat - i can make a journal myself - and i found a pattern for mini shoeboxes for dean's cassette tapes. :D i am fangirl, see me accessorize.
there's a creation con in chicago over veteran's day weekend, and both jared AND jensen AND nicholas brendon are scheduled (and samantha ferris and steve carlson and the guy who played the yed, fredric lehne), and i will have just been to wincon and will be planning to go to paris and i don't get veteran's day off and won't have any more vacation but dude, jared AND jensen. and i can sleep on jola's couch. do i want to go? i don't know. can i go? i don't know that either. what's the word on creation cons? are they well-run? fun? worth going to?
i'm all twitchy and i don't know why. i need to go buy a blender and one of those stovetop grills you can put on the burners. and then i need to hit up the grocery store.
AND. sweet charity is starting up again. note to self: you have until sept 8 to sign up to do it.
