ladies and gentlemen, we have achieved cake. *\o/* it's a gorgeous dark red and i'm really not kidding about that - i got crumbs on the cream cheese frosting and it looks like it's bleeding. i took some pictures. :D also i didn't grease the pan or anything because it's a non-stick pan, and the outside pieces of cake are kind of, uh, chewy around the outside edges. could i get less chewy and more cakey edges if i greased the pan first? on the plus side, the cake didn't stick, as promised. and it's moist and yummy.

did i mention it's red? the name does not lie. i'm kind of impressed at the redness.
