Okies. So as far as books go, I've finished The Wolf King. Took me three days, nearly almost finished it in one day, but, it eventually took three 'cause Monday and bowling while trying to read didn't work out that well. So yeah, finished it this morning while "sitting" at work.
Good book. Much like the one before it, The Silver Wolf... though, from looking at the list of books in that series, I get the feeling there might've been one before The Wolf King?? There's, what, five? I've only read those two. Ane-chan's fault. She had the idea come to her from reading The Silver Wolf and bought it for me to read so I'd understand her idea better. ^_^ It was real good!
One thing I can really say about The Wolf King is that the ending bites ass.
What the hell kind of ending is that anyways? I mean, yeah, you get a little more about how Maneiel and Regeane live together - not much, mind you, but some. And you find out all about how their march against the other king went and that "their" king Charles did win. But the ending just sucked!
I mean, the ending was of Lucilla trying to hold Regeane back from helping the other Queen and her boys... Regeane eventually breaks loose and goes to the spot to see the flashback or her "moment out of time", of their deaths. She watches it a few times... knows she can get stuck there should she want to... Then she gets pulled out of it by someone kicking and screaming to find it's Maneiel. She tells him "If you love me. Take me somewhere clean" and they run off in wolf form. Ending paragraph just has Charles watching them fun off 'til he can't see them anymore - then about how he's looking over the land he's now going to rule. >_<
That. My dear people, is not an ending! Well... alright so it is, but not one I wanted. X_x Almost seems like the author was getting tired of it and wanted to end it fast heh
On another note ^_^
I've started to try reading Dragon's Dawn... another book sent to me to read. Was told if I liked Dragons then I'd like this one. I'll say it's got potential, but I'm having a hard time getting into it. I've already started skipping pages in it to get to the better stuff. ::chuckles smirking:: It happens when something can't keep my attention. Especially when I have to "sit" for two, almost three hours, up at work with nothing to do in the mornings (or afternoon's if Thressa decides she wants to "sit" in the mornings.)
Think after the Rodeo and my next check, I'm going to Waldons and loading up on some manga and maybe try and see if I can't find a few good Dragon dealing books that has more mystical and enchanting leads towards it. Not trying to mix furturistic and dragons together. That's just not working for me. Should be intresting. I usually don't stray from reading the norm fanfiction to Pheronormal dealing books. ^_^
Okies, din din time. ^_^ ja!
