-Shared Lips-

The care and unrestricted love for each other can be enough to give it to two persons at the same time. And they were happy and proud of it.

For him it was a new bright beginning, forgetting and leaving back that painful misunderstanding and, instead, replacing it with memories of kisses and touches. But somehow he didn’t feel completely okay; it felt like there was something missing or even just… misplaced. He should feel happy; he was with Jin the way he had always wished but still it didn’t feel right. At least not completely right.

Maybe he was being too greedy.

“Hey, Ryo-chan, do you wanna go out with us tonight to eat something?”

Almost all of NEWS was in the room -except for Shige who had already left- packing a few things or looking at their cellphone’s screen. Ryo was finishing doing the former and briefly looked at Pi, uninterested at his invitation. He was used to hearing the word “us” coming from Yamapi’s and Jin’s lips so he understood instantly that it meant both of them. He felt a strange tug at his heart.

He wasn’t part of the “us”.

“I don’t know. I’m tired. I’ll just go home” he gave a pretext as he started walking to the door where Tegoshi was just leaving. Ryo was tired, but not physically. He didn’t get what was wrong with himself. Maybe he didn’t want to know.

“Come on, Ryo-chan! We three haven’t had dinner together for more than a month already.” And he couldn’t deny it. He was almost unconsciously avoiding the happy couple that reminded him of what he didn’t have but craved for so strongly. Although he was sharp-tongued he would never use it against his own friends. He would never hurt them or be an hindrance to their wishes, so Ryo just shut his mouth and complained inside his mind. It wasn’t a good idea and he knew it.

“I wanna go,” Massu walked to them with a smile and Pi stared at him slightly surprised meanwhile Ryo looked bored. “If Ryo doesn’t want to-“

“Massu,” Koyama interrupted him as he approached the little group “why don’t you come with me, I’ll invite you dinner” he smiled politely. Little Massu was really bad at noticing when he shouldn’t butt in.

“Yes~!” his eyes shone with enthusiasm as he turned to Koyama. “But you pay for all of it, right?”

“Yeah, right” Koyama accepted with a sigh pushing Massu out of NEWS’ room. Ah~ I’m sorry dear wallet, when Massu eats you gotta do diet.

“So, Ryo-chan?” Pi asked again after promising Koyama that he would go to his wallet’s funeral.

“Okay, I’ll go” Ryo agreed resigned but smiling nevertheless, “but I’m not gonna carry fat and drunk bakanishi to his apartment!” he stated quickly, grabbing his bag and hanging it on his shoulder.

“Me neither.”

“We can just throw him in the back dump of the restaurant” he walked side to side with Yamapi out of the room, “no one would suspect of us.”

“Okay, then remember to carry some dark glasses” Pi joked as they approached the main entrance of the Jimusho. “At 9:00, it’s fine?”

“Yeah, sure. See you then, same place, right?” Ryo asked as they were already out of the building. Yamapi nodded with a smile and they both waved goodbye and parted ways.

They both reached their own apartment and both of them took a bath, neither of them knowing that they were actually doing the same thing in their own place.

The water ran down Ryo’s frame and he closed his eyes relaxing in the warmness that covered him. He was feeling slightly unsure about this dinner thing but he tried to put his mind on blank or think of something completely unrelated or insignificant.

I should buy a fish. They are easy to take care of.

It worked. He finished bathing, his muscles completely relaxed and his mind filled with clouds that didn’t allow worries, and getting on his car he drove off.

Yamapi had finished his own bath a couple minutes earlier and drove to Jin’s apartment to pick him up. They would always do it that way because everyone knew that by the end of dinner Jin would be too drunk to drive back home so Ryo and Yamapi took turns on carrying him back to the department. In the beginning they complained but as time went by they just gave up. Jin was too hair headed.

He grabbed his cellphone and dialed Jin’s number.

“Jin, I’m almost there. Wait for me outside.”

“Okay~”

He hung up with a smile when hearing that cheerful tone of voice. It was contagious. As said he arrived just five minutes later in front of Jin’s apartment building and right there was his friend waiting for him.

“Jin, you ready?”

“Yup!” he sat vivaciously inside the car and kissed Yamapi on the cheek leaving him slightly but pleasantly surprised.

“Then let’s go, Ryo-chan will get mad if we are too late” Yamapi shuddered at the thought.

They were late. Ryo was already waiting in one of the tables of the restaurant looking down at his cellphone and texting someone. He looked up and saw the couple approaching him so he closed his phone and acknowledged them with a nod.

“Hey there Ryo-chan. Waited much?” Pi sat down on the table and so did Jin.

“Nah, not really. You have made me wait much more before” he remarked with a little smirk and Yamapi just smiled lopsidedly.

The waiter came not much later and took note of their orders. It was a nice and simple place where the service was good, nothing special, and common people -families, couples and business men- enjoyed a nice meal. The three enjoyed of the light atmosphere and though once in a while a fan or two would appear it was never anything to scandalous; just smile, sign an autograph, say “No problem” and that was it.

They chatted animatedly as they ate and drank, Jin’s comments getting more and more random as he enjoyed a little too much the drink. Ryo just looked at him and sighed. Normal bakanishi was stupid enough. A drunken bakanishi was an annoying headache.

“Pi~” Jin groaned and leaned on the table, “why don’t you have bigger boobs?” he asked. Yamapi just raised his eyebrows and stared at him confused as Ryo tried not to laugh to hard and spit out what he had just drank. “I would like you more if you were a girl.” A flash of hurt showed on Yamapi’s eyes but it was quickly gone.  Jin was drunk and that usually made him more stupid than he actually was but even so it still offended.

“Well, sorry bakanishi” he apologized sarcastically as he poked the food on his plate with the chopsticks. Ryo noted his reaction so he kicked Jin on the leg from under the table making him jump and groan.

“Ow!” he pouted while frowning. “Who did it?”

“The table leg” Ryo replied uninterestedly eating a mouthful of food.

“Oh.”

Yamapi and Ryo just rolled his eyes and smacked Jin on the head.

Stupid drunk bakanishi.

The meal went on WITHOUT any drink more than water because Ryo ordered the waiter to take it all away excusing his friend when Jin asked the poor employee if he was a transvestite.

But that was fun.

They ended having dinner without any problems and so they left after paying for it. Ryo walked with Yamapi and Jin to the former’s car to make sure Bakanishi didn’t walk off and ended under a car.

“Thanks, Ryo-chan. See you tomorrow at the photoshot” Yamapi patted him on the back as he walked to the driver’s side. He had noted that during the whole dinner Ryo had been slightly out of it, looking at a far place that was nowhere, and it was starting to worry him. Maybe something bad had happened.

“Yeah, bye. Take care” Ryo waved goodbye and walked to his own car as Pi got in.

Yamapi drove carefully as Jin slept in the passenger’s sit, his head against the window glass and bumping on it from time to time but never waking up. He was still too drunk. Yamapi yawned and ruffled his hair trying to focus on the road.

Fortunately they arrived at his apartment safely.

“Jin” the younger shook him to wake him up, “Jin, come on, wake up.”

“Pi?” he opened his eyes and rubbed them, “where are we?”

“At my apartment. Well, in front of the building. Come on, let’s go.” Yamapi grabbed him by the arm to help him out of the car.

He snaked a hand behind Jin’s waist to keep him stable and supported half of his weight until they reached the apartment’s door.

“Hang on a second. Lay against the wall if you can’t stand still” Yamapi suggested as he fished inside his pocket for the keys.

Jin groaned as he did as told. He wasn’t dizzy but his head hurt. The younger opened the door and holding Jin by the shoulder pushed him inside the room and up to the coach.

“Lay there.” He walked back to the door and locked it again. “You know, I think there is something wrong with Ryo-chan. Like something is bothering him. Do you know anything about it?” he asked as he walked to the couch and stood next to it.

“Nh… I don’t know. He seemed just as pissed off as always.” Jin sat up on the sofa and looked up at Pi.

“But he was kinda out of it.” Yamapi definitely thought there was something wrong with Ryo. He knew him enough to notice it and the osakan was bad at hiding things because he never did. Ryo would always speak his mind so when he didn’t it was easy to note it. If Jin didn’t perceive it, it was because there was too much alcohol on his blood.

“Pi…” he jerked up when he heard a whisper on his ear and a pair of arms that encircled him.

“Not now, Jin~” Yamapi tried to turn around but the other didn’t allow him. “I’m tired, I wanna go to sleep. Maybe another day” he said wearily.

“I want you now” he whispered darkly and Yamapi could smell the alcohol on his breath. The older pushed him down on the couch lying partially on top of him as he unbuckled his trousers.

“Wait, wait, wait, wait, Jin!” Yamapi grabbed his hands trying to stop him but the older boy tossed his hands hastily away and single handedly held his wrist with almost painful strength. Pi was just as strong as Jin so he wriggled under the weight and freed his hands, but when he was going to push Jin away the boy on top of him slid a finger inside him. Yamapi whimpered and lost a fraction of his strength. Jin was too drunk and it was doing it wrong; without even spit on his finger. “I-It hurts… Jin, stop it.”

Jin just groaned; in his mind everything was too hazy to even comprehend what he was doing, he was horny and he wanted Pi but he didn’t become aware of Yamapi’s whimpers and complains under him.

“Jin, Jin, Jin, stop…” Yamapi held the older boy’s shoulders with trembling fingers and pushed away with weak arms. “Ryo…” he breathed out as a plea for help.

Jin stilled suddenly jerking off Yamapi the intruding finger and Yamapi relaxed relieved.

“You called his name?” Jin asked furious and hurt. Pi just breathed heavily trying to recover and looked with tired eyes at the man on top of him. “You imagined it was him, didn’t ya?”

“No, I-“

The older just got up before Yamapi could stop him, or even take in what was going on, and walked away to Pi’s room closing the door behind him with a loud and careless slam.

Yamapi fixed his pants and sat on the couch looking down. He ruffled his hair in exasperation and breathed deeply but didn’t cry, not a single tear. Everything was so messed up again. He wanted to go and talk with Jin; having a proper talk could fix almost any problem or so he always thought. But Jin was drunk and it definitely wasn’t a good idea to talk to a drunken Bakanishi; things would just take a turn for the worst.

He loved Jin and nothing would change that fact, not even what just happened. He would give him some time to clear his mind and to let the alcohol on his veins wear off.

Yamapi stood up, grabbed his keys and walked to the door. He hesitated for a second before opening it and walked to his car. He wasn’t entirely sure it was a good idea to leave Jin all by himself when he was actually not very… conscious. But probably he wouldn’t even be able to walk to the door. Even so Yamapi left the spare keys on the table -so when Jin woke up he could go back home whenever he wanted- and locked the front door with his own keys.

He drove off while repeating on his head the images and words he saw and heard minutes ago and dialed a number on his cellphone on the way.

“Hey Ryo, sorry for waking you up.”

“Its fine, I wasn’t asleep yet, just got into bed.”

“Is it fine if I spend the night there?”

“Mh, yeah, sure. Did something happen? Are you okay?” It was odd when Yamashita didn’t add the “chan” to his name.

“Oh, yeah, yeah, everything is fine” Yamapi replied quickly with a light voice. “It’s just drunken Bakanishi got angry and stole my room.”

“Okay then.” It sounded plausible.

Ryo heard a knock on his door and opened it cautiously even knowing that it probably was Yamashita. You could never be completely sure.

“Hey there, come in.” Ryo moved aside to let the younger in and closed the door once he was inside.

“Thanks, Ryo-chan.”

“No problem.” He locked the door again and turned around to look at Yamapi. “You use the bed.” He started walking to his room and Pi followed him.

“What about you?”

“I have a futon. I’ll be fine.”

“But I’m a guest, the bed is yours!” he stated and sat on the bed as he watched Ryo jumbling around things on the wardrobe.

“You are not a guest; you are a friend so you use the bed.” Ryo fixed the futon on the floor of the bedroom and without a word or a glance he slipped under the covers and closed his eyes.

Yamapi just stared at him and chuckled slightly at his friend’s stubbornness. Seriously, sometimes Ryo was just as obstinate as Jin. Although he would never say it out loud. He picked up a blanket from the wardrobe and lay it on the floor right next to Ryo. He took a pillow and threw it on top of the made up futon and finally positioned himself on it, hugging Ryo from the back.

“You sure you are fine?” whispered Ryo without moving, his eyes still closed.

“Yes. But I was wondering if you were fine” Yamapi tightened his hold for a second before loosening it again. “You were kinda strange today.”

Ryo smiled comfortably but kept his eyes closed.

“You don’t miss a thing, do you?”

“If it’s you and Jin, I don’t.”

Me and Jin Ryo repeated inside his head with great delight and relief. So he was actually part of the “us”? He moved up his arm and caressed Yamapi’s hand on his chest and felt how a warm breath brushed against his neck. A content sigh.

“I’m fine now” Ryo breathed out and intertwined his fingers with Yamapi’s. Almost no thoughts invaded their minds before they fall comfortably asleep, still holding each other and sharing a tender warmness. To know he was still with them, not like a third wheel, gave Ryo the proper rest and peace of mind he needed.

A strong and repeated banging on the door startled them awake. Such a short peace. Ryo grumbled and looked at the clock on the little side table, a frown forming on his features.

“5 am? Who the hell can it be?” he complained as he got up from the futon and walked to the door with caution. Yamapi was still half asleep but somehow he managed to follow Ryo with stumbling steps and walked into the room just as the older opened the front door that was still being banged loudly. “Jin? What the fuck are you doing here at this hour and knocking on the door like that?” Ryo asked as he glared at the unsure figure standing at his door. He was feeling slightly worried at the way the other looked: Jin’s eyes were shining like glass and his face showed a mix of hesitation, anger, fear and tiredness.

“Oh, I see. So you two are together” Jin spitted out bitterly looking from Ryo to Yamapi that was a couple of steps behind. He walked in to the youngest and stood in front of a serious looking Pi, “You could at least have told me!” he gave Yamapi a push on his right shoulder making him stumble back a single step.

“Told you what?!” Pi shouted back. “You were too drunk to even understand what was going on around you!”

“But I wasn’t drunk yesterday! If you loved Ryo more than me you could have told me before!”

“What?!”

“I thought you were my friends” he whispered looking coldly sad at Yamapi, “but I see you aren’t. You don’t do this to a friend!”

“Do what?! We haven’t done anything!” defended Yamapi enraged himself.

“You are misunderstanding Bakanishi” whispered Ryo in his ear as he embraced Jin by the back. The older stilled under the touch but didn’t shrug it off nor shouted.

It worked: the dense couple had calmed down.

He sighed mentally. It seemed he would always have to be the one in care of fixing the situation. Bad communication was a serious issue between the two idiots. He looked at Yamapi from Jin’s shoulder and smiled lightly as he nodded at him to talk. The younger looked down in shame, noticing he had gotten carried away, and closed the distance between him and Jin.

“I don’t love Ryo more than you” he grabbed Jin’s face between his hands and pinched his cheeks making Jin wince and pout. “I think… I love you both the same” he looked at Ryo -who was slightly taken aback by the sudden confession- and back to Jin. “It’s… hard to explain it, but I want you both the same, I feel good being with both of you. If I had to choose between you two I couldn’t. I’m sorry” he stepped back with a sad grimace.

He knew it was wrong, he wasn’t supposed to love two persons the same. But he really couldn’t find inside himself the answer, the correct choice. He wanted them both equally, they were just as important, but was that really wrong? Probably they wouldn’t like it. He had always been so possessive over his two friends and now he was the one asking them to share him and be shared. Except it wouldn’t be between strangers.

Jin grabbed him by his shirt stopping him from backing away any further.

“I thought…” Jin started, looking into Yamapi’s eyes, “I was being left aside, that you two were gonna leave me” It scared me were the unsaid words that Ryo and Yamapi heard anyway.

“Irony!” Ryo snorted, his breath brushing against Jin’s neck making a shiver run down his spine.

“Why?” Now it was Yamapi’s turn to be confused -Jin had been confused since the very beginning, it wasn’t any different now-. Ryo let go of Jin and so the older turned around to look at him.

“You two were together. What was I supposed to do? Tell you that I was jealous and most probably in love?”

“You were jealous of us? You could have said so before” Jin mused almightily.

“You would have laughed at me, Bakanishi” he smacked him.

“Probably” and now Yamapi smacked him on the head. “Wait! Let me finish!” Jin pouted and looked back at Ryo. “I probably would have laughed, but I would have told you that I didn’t mind having to share Pi with you” he winked at him and Ryo just snorted and rolled his eyes.

“You make it sound more stupid than what actually is” Yamapi commented smiling lopsidedly at Jin and then shifted his gaze to Ryo. “I think I can share Bakanishi if it’s with you.”

“Oh, you two are so nice, always sharing” Ryo mocked them as Jin slid an arm behind his neck resting it on his shoulder.

“Everything fixed! Can we go back to sleep now?” Yamapi asked tiredly but walked back to the bedroom without even waiting for a reply. He -almost- threw himself to the futon laid on the floor and covered himself with the covers. All the air left his lungs as someone fell on top of him.

“I think you just broke him a couple ribs” Yamapi recognized it as Ryo’s voice and could even heard the smirk on his face.

“Sorry, Pi” Jin apologized between laughs as he rolled to the side, lying on the futon, and half hugged the younger. “I stumbled with the covers on the ground. Didn’t know you were sleeping on the floor.” The answer he got was just a grumble so he tightened his hold on the other.

“Stop squishing me~!” Pi groaned and Jin just kissed his neck. Ryo smiled in the darkness of the room and lay in the blanket next to Yamapi. The younger felt the new warmness so he reached forward with one of his arms and pulled him closer, his lips grazing softly against Ryo’s lips.

The older smirked and closed the distance fusing their lips together. Finally he could have a taste of those desired lips. He had always watched silently, at him and Jin, now there was only Jin left to taste but he still had plenty of time left. Ryo licked at the lower lip and Yamapi unconsciously opened his mouth allowing Ryo’s tongue to savor his inside.

“Hey! You two, don’t make out without me!” complained Jin over Yamapi’s shoulder.

“Sorry, but it’s kinda hard to kiss two persons at the same time” Ryo replied with a smirk and possessively pulled Pi closer to himself making Jin frown and pout just to pull back the younger.

“How did you know we were kissing? It’s too dark to see anything and I didn’t even move nor did I make a sound” Yamapi noted while being tossed from one boy to the other.

“Oh, it’s a secret~” the older replied with a little evil laugh as he hugged both Pi and Ryo at the same time. “Sharing is caring, Ryo-chan~!”
