(almost) Divorced, it's about time!
So yeah, after almost 6 years of marriage, the sigfig (significant figure, took too much math in school I guess) and I mutually decided to call it quits. I'm planning on having him served at the end of the month. Hallelujah! Tax time was an agony, even though we've been seperated for half a year, I still had to claim married since I don't have that little piece of paper.
And how come its cheaper to get married than it is to divorce anyway?
So he moved out, we're selling the house, and I got a cat. Or rather two. Horray for creepy cat ladies; that is my biggest fear, becoming one of those single, middle aged women who peek out of their curtains nosily at the neighbors and bitch about the kids playing on their grass. Ergh!
The weirdest thing I've had to deal with so far? Other than everyone who wonders how the two of us are getting along so well still I mean.... Going places as a single person. Seriously. When in college, I always had a roomate or a friend to go out with. But now, I live at home with two cats, I work all day, and the majority of "our" friends are really his friends in the first place. I really need some single or childless friends to hang out with.
