THINGS!
It's been a while since I updated.. Let's see..
Today my brother brought over his computer AND his casio keyboard, both for me to keep FOREVER. It has two CD slots (burning capable) Finale, Fruity Loops, Firefox, several Nintendo emulators, and craploads of music on it already, much of which I don't listen to, but still... My dad got him a laptop to take to Florida (for which he leaves Sunday) and he doesn't have room in his dorm for the keyboard, and by the time he stops living in the dorm, he will be a teacher and can buy a MIDI keyboard or something. My dad said he's gonna get me DSL soon also, so not only do I now have a decent computer, I will have HIGH-SPEED INTERNET!! (omgwtfbbq)IN addition to all that good stuff, Dr. Bridge is giving me one of the marimbas from OCC to have until December when drumline starts... I just have to find room in my bedroom for the two beds, the computer, the xylophone, the marimba, AND the keyboard haha
Marching band is going well.... Mike Butterfield, Andrew Quick, and I have started having snare sectionals at Andrew's house on Thursdays where we practice Angry Stuff for the NYSSMA convention and play through our marching band music, cleaning it up... It's coming along very well, although the Tenors and Basses are a bit iffy :-\ We have a great show this year, and with the two... yes, TWO BAND TRIPS this year it should be an amazing senior year. By the way, we are playing halftime at the Bills home opener, all expenses paid by the Bills, and they are playing the New York Jets that day, September 24th, I think.
And just because it is currently on my mind... I got an application from Northwestern last week, and there are funny short answer questions on it and it made me giggle. Furthermore, my current college list (in order of preference) is:
1. Ithaca College
2. Northwestern University
3. SUNY Potsdam
4. University of Central Florida
5. Onondaga Community College
If there are any similarities between my list and yours, tell me! haha
I also have decided that I definitely want to compose as well as teach, so I am pretty sure I want to Major or Minor in Music Composition as well as my major in Music Education. My Masters and Doctorate will be in Education, though. W00t.
Now to, y'know, GET IN to college! :-D
