Day of Percussion
Lots of fun.
Im really tired though.. rehearsal neded at midnight last night, and we had to be there at 7 this morning, so im running on 3 hours sleep.
-Cornell Steel Drum Band
-Bobby Sanabria (percussionist of the year 2004)
-Marassa Duo (cool marimba/vibes/steel drum/hand drum music)
-I performed with OCC drumline
-Rob Sanderl, great marhcing clinic
-Linda Maxey performed the marimba concerto, Rosauro, which is freaking awesome.. she also performed marimba spiritual, but muy brothers performance of it was better, which is really crazy. She was suprisingly bad when she played it.
-I won a drumset book and a pair of stick from raffles, got another of the same durmsaet book for free, and got some timbale sticks and like 400 stickers... good haul for only spending 10 bucks
-Dinner was a Chili's with like everyone... great time
I decided I really want to go to Ithaca now that I know like 7 people that are percussion majors there. i'M HAPPY.
