Let's see...
Sunday was drumline finals. ESM got 4th of 5, but we had a great performance and we were really close in score to 1st place.. I'm proud of everyone.. they came so far since the beginning. ALso, OCC got a 92.2 go us.
It is pretty much official that our marching band show is going to be "Ellis Island." Mr. A'hearn, one of our music arrangers said it is "going to kick ass," but Nate, one of the drumline instuctors also told me there might be narration, because he heard me making fun of vocals in marhcing band shows. That might suck. I'm still looking forward to marching band though, and sometimes it feels like I'm sitting here just waiting. The horrible part is that it doesn't start until JULY.
The marching band trip is to NYC this year. We're performing at BOA regionals in Giants Stadium. It may be alright.
Day of percussion is coming up in mid-April. I can't wait. One last OCC performance, and then the best drumline ever at OCC will be done for good. Almost everyone is graduating, and many of the high school kids are going off to college. It was fun.
Speaking of college, I skipped the college fair because I already have my search narrowed down to Potsdam, Ithaca, University of Rochester, University of Central Florida and Berklee. I can't believe we still have another year and a half.
I got a 101 on my math test!
People are talking about prom, I think I should find a date...
Oh, and my dad is moving to Pittsburgh on Sunday. I don't think I've even mentioned that to anyone. I don't even know how to feel about it. I mean, he is going to come back every so often, his lease on his apartment doesn't run out until July anyway, so my brother will still live there until he moves to Florida in August. But yea, I feel like I should be really upset that I'm barely ever going to see my dad now, but I guess I don't see him much as it is. Plus apparently he is going to make a crazy amount of money with the job he got, and he'll be living in Pittsburgh with my amazing family. I guess we'll see what it's like when my brother and I travel down there for Easter.
That's about all. I hope everyone going to NYC on Friday has a good time!
