...I just finished Harry Potter.
...Wow. Just...wow. Rowlings does it again. Of course her fans are going to hate her now... Read the cut only if you don't mind spoilers.
Dumbledore's death is not something I really agree with, as he was the character many people (including myself) most related with. I suppose there was a reason for him to be killed (and the scene will be awesome when they get around to that movie) and I trust Rawlings. She writes beautiful prose, and there's just enough touch of intrigue to keep you reading constantly. The one thing I really didn't get about the book, didn't sync quite as well, was the whole Tonks thing. Why would she be so affected by a guy blowing her off? Ah well, I suppose I shouldn't complain too much.
