Desktop!
I FINALLY finished building my desktop today. Well, I'm almost done- I still need a wireless internet card and some speakers, but Tony is hooking me up with the former.
No longer do I have to worry about lappy overheating in th middle of playing games! My beautiful blue laptop has the problem of overheating when I watch anime, or play games, or hell- even try to multitask. Seriously- the beast haets Sims2 AND Cesar IV. And seeing as these are some of the few games I ever play and are a much needed way to chill, it's a bad thing. Now, I have a good thing.
I've named the desktop Sakura, continuing the theme of naming both beta fish and computers after CLAMP characters. Right now she's just a simple black midsized tower being marred by a computer off white DVD player and floppy drive I cannibalized from an old Dell we found on the side of the road. At some point I hope to make a plexicut out in the shape of a cherry blossom and install a pink LED. Cause it would be cute and girly yet slightly tomboyish, like me. Also, get new/paint the current DVD and floppy drives. And, get new screen. Cause while the one I have is HUEG, it's also yucky computer off-white and heavy as all hell. A nice flat screen would make me smile.
Hmm, I also should maybe look into shelling out a few bucks for a new keyboard that has a down arrow that works and a real mouse instead of my tablet.
Now, to study some more accounting before tomorrow. I'm feeling all studious an nerdy lately- back to being Julie, and not some weird exhausted student/retail drone. I need 18hour work weeks more often.
