Hadong, South Korea
Bigger Photo:
Here I am sure that I mentioned this before. My friend, Daffodytreasury left not long ago to return to her home, South Korea. I still miss her a lot, but I am glad that she sounds happy to be back in her home country. She sent me the photo you see above.
She said, "I attached here one Pic taken in Hadong: Best place for Cherry bloosoms."
Isn't it beautiful?
I decided to share the picture she took with you, because I really liked it. It's like pink snow! Maybe it is a weird description, but I really love snow as well so I thought it was fitting.
I am really glad she sent it. I told her long ago that I hope she sends more. I already replied to her, telling her that I miss her and made a bit of small talk. But I could tell that she might not be able to reply immediately. She says that she and her family are busy meeting people. I can understand. She hasn't been home to South Korea in 13 years. I bet there was a lo9t she wanted to see and people she needed to meet, like family she hasn't seen since she was a child.
We've been pretty close for five or six years, so saying goodbye for me wasn't easy. At the same time, I am glad because I know how much she wanted to go back. I also know that if she really wanted to develop herself as an artist, she can only do it there since most of the materials she needs are in Korea. Someday, I hope she becomes an incredible artist or teacher--- whatever she wants to be. Since she is probably one of the most focused people I know, I don't doubt it.
Goodbyes are really bittersweet, but I really want to continue believing that we will meet again someday.
