Say It Again Stupid For You Feel Marie Digby’s earlier style is very classy and playful. I still hum along and skip to songs like ‘Say It Again’ and ‘Stupid For You.’ Her music video for ‘Say It Again’ made me want to reach into my inner child and drag it out, so I can play with cardboard boxes and toy cars.
The video was pretty easy to do. Just the stage and cardboard props. The simplicity isn’t bothersome or cheap-looking. It is actually very refreshing. Lately, people spend so much to make a music video. Neon lights, sexy models and expensive cars. Neon and trashy are the trends these days.
Her more recent song, “Feel” is more mature and grownup, but it still remains classy. This time, however, I simply want to lean back and think or reflect. The video for feel is more elaborate, but it still looks deceptively simple. It showcases the beauty and melancholy of the city, that I believe is Tokyo.
The first time I heard about Marie Digby was on Youtube back 2007 or 2008. I was drawn to her looks at first. I had to admit, but then I slowly began to be drawn to her covers. I loved her Umbrella cover the best that time. Even now, once in a while I still listen to her covers.
I am now looking for her album. They used to be sold here a few years ago when she was famous here, but now I am having trouble finding them. I regret not buying now. It didn’t seem like a good idea back then. There weren’t a lot of songs on the album and it was so expensive. The funny thing is, if I am a fan of someone--- I want the genuine album. No downloading or pirated. If I can’t, I will probably order online on her site in Youtube. Give it a try! Be Stupid For Marie Digby.
