Thank you.

It's like an outright demonstration of contempt for the populace. I'm still half convinced I must have misunderstood something.

These are the same fools that gave us Bush v Gore. Okay, no, not quite. But more or less.

For what it's worth, corporation = person for certain legal purposes (aka ability to enter into contracts, commercial exchanges, etc). This whole business about whether or not they're entitled to political rights is part of a larger argument that's been ebbing and flowing over the last 200 years. The Roberts court is more pro-economic freedom, so I can't say it's surprising. Give it ten years and I'm sure they'll decide differently :)

Constant vigilance and all. WAY TOO BLOODY MUCH can happen in ten years. :-(

Oh I'm sure the COURT guys were partisan. I am just baffled by the existence of ordinary citizens who consider themselves conservatives
who could possibly IMAGINE that this would lead to "small government," as opposed to huge fucking government of another type, and not even the pretence of giving a shit about the populace. (I posted this on Facebook; I've got Republicans on there, I sorta needed to point that out... and I'm simply not ready to accept that they could actually be identifying with the corporations, and WHY isn't the news all over this???)
