Leu Gardens! 3-21-2009
Well ladies and gentleman, I think we’ve done it. I think we have had the largest turn out for a Florida meet so far. Parking was terrible and next time, we’ll try and schedule it for a day that we can use the parking lot. @_@ Other then that though it was pretty awesome. For those who couldn’t attend or missed it, not to worry! And for those who came, get ready! I’m planning another meet in the future but this time I will have a bit more organization. *Shuffles some papers* Times and places and the like. ^_^'
I left my own home at about 8:30 to pick up Maeanalda and head to the post office. We mailed a package and headed to the gardens. Upon arrival it took forever to find parking but thankfully when we got it, it was close to the back entrance. I intended to be there at 9 or 9:30 but we ran a bit late.
We headed to the front entrance at the big white building and waited on the patio for people to arrive from 10:00 - 11:00. As people joined I took pictures and got outfit rundowns.

Now at the point a lot of people had shown and we were just waiting for a few who were having parking troubles. Two of our members were stopped at a gate and held there being questioned because they thought we were having an illegal wedding. Yeah. An illegal wedding. I mean… maybe we were the only ones who failed to see a woman in a large white dress? Anyway, soon after a woman and gentleman employee were quite rude when they came to our group and wanted to know what was going on. They too thought we were having an illegal wedding and wouldn’t let xpolkapunkx, ichigo_ni_naru, and Lotusx through until they knew we weren’t hosting an illegal wedding. The woman was very rude when she said “You do realize that you are all dressed very strangely?” I’m calling to complain at them on Monday, because I find it very rude that they would make an obviously incorrect assumption, be rude about asking a simple question, and then get all huffy when I am trying explain to them that we had no idea until a week before that there was anything special going on that weekend.
So FINALLY, they them go and I was able to get the last of the outfit rundown pics.

First we found this awesome lattice thing that we’re sure used to be white and we took the opportunity to pose under it.
Then we found stump! What rolls down stairs and sits on chairs, rolls over your neighbors dog? What’s good for a snack and fits on your back it’s log log log! It’s log! Log! It’s big it’s heavy it’s wood. It’s log! Log! It’s better then bad, it’s good! Everyone want s a log! You’re gonna love it log! Log! Log… from the makers of… oh wait. It’s not a log, it’s a stump. My bad. XD
ARGH!! YE WALK THE STUMP!! She really did almost fall off though. >.O
Then amidst all the stares and adorable little comments we found a big yellow tree! What better to do then stop and pose in front of it?

A row of a flowers makes for a wonderfully LONG group shot. :D Imagine if all 40 some odd people had come. D: ZOMG that would have been an insanely long shot.
After words we wanted to go eat and we’d originally tried to go to Pom Pom but they refused to serve us because we had too many people and they had been bombarded with a group of 22 earlier who took all their chairs and tables despite the fact that they woman a the counter had told them they COULD NOT serve them but they showed up anyway. So we went to Chan’s for Dim Sum.

I hope to see everyone and more again next time! Until then! Thank you all for coming and helping to make wonderful meet. I promise I'll have an actual sort of itinerary next time. ^_^
