Notes: It's an AU piece, set in a college music hall I guess, or basically whatever time after the piano had been invented. :)
Arthur listened to his lover play.
Merlin’s smooth fingers formed a slow melody, sounding out his heartache after confronting his boyfriend.
Reaching the piece’s climax, the heat of their argument was ignited once more as he attacked the ivories mercilessly.
Merlin noticing Arthur’s presence was only conveyed through a painful silence: Merlin rising, Arthur approaching.
The mashing of the keys told of Arthur’s desperate request for forgiveness as he pushed Merlin against the piano and kissed him with such passion. Gentle sighs against tender lips and thrumming of their hearts as they beat harmoniously together was music to Merlin’s ears.
