presidential letdown...
Why is it that we have become a nation who picks their leader by deciding which of the two candidates they hate less? We think things like "anyone but bush" or "well this person is the lesser of two evils i suppose" and watch our nation slowly but surely mutate more and more into something we no longer recognize and in some ways become ashamed to be a member of.
Is it so much to ask for to have two intelligent, charming, compassionate but firm individuals be the front runners for the highest office in the land? Or even one? A person who you look at and you think "they could really take this nation in a great new direction and help us, and the world around us", instead of "well he'll screw things up a little less than the other guy". sure seems so lately...
