ì missed the rain,
chill caresses down my skin,
evening bleeding into night.
cars hiss, nameless, faceless,
amongst the endless shadows
while a harsh breath aches through me,
the sweeter for feeling stolen.
i savor this twilight,
embracing darkness like a lost lover.
enough
enough
enough of the harsh sun
its empty hope,
brutal truths,
unkept promises.
i give myself to the rain,
all of me,
grief
and anger
and madness.
there is only emptiness,
haphazrd spectre of broken dreams,
sorrow,
and the rain
