People

I don't understand why people are so fixated on what 'kind' of Asian I am. I mean, does it really matter where my parents came from? I mean, I don't approach random Caucasian people and ask a detailed report concerning their heritage, so why is it acceptable to do it to someone who looks different from the norm? I don't really mind answering, but I wonder what causes people to do this... is it just curiosity? I mean, it's not like my heritage will change their opinion about me, right?

Furthermore, I don't understand why people lie about what 'kind' of Asian they are. I was talking to a couple of my friends and they all were talking about how they were guilty of telling people that they were a different race then what they really were. I'm pretty sure people won't riot against you if they find out that you are Chinese/Korean/Japanese/Filipino/Whatever!

I saw a very peculiar Starburst commercial today, ahaha, it was about how being Scottish-Korean was a contradiction comparatively to how Starbursts are both solid and juicy. I didn't really understand the connection, bahahahah.

For the record, I'm a mix, my father is Dutch-Irish and my mother is Korean! So, I guess I'm a contradiction myself? ilu, Starbursts.
