The huge wall of toilets and bathtubs at the Kohler Design Center, and a fish boil in Fish Creek.
A shiny shiny house decorated with glitter paint on construction paper (made by this man), a pleasingly girly arty bathroom, wire and textile hair invoking 10 decades of femininity by Anne Lemanski, and subversive knitting and crochet at the John Micheal Kohler Center for the Arts, in Sheboygan.
Creamy Darks at all the Pick N' Saves, 3 cheese and beer soup at the Horse & Plow (which doesn't host images of it's monster delicious food), Mongol at the super cool tiny Landmark in Milwaukee, New Glarus Raspberry Tart, and the American Club proper.
I had a great time on Our North Woods Adventure, thanks forever to KT for it. I gotta tell you, fish boil doesn't seem like that big of a deal until you eat it, and it's a really big deal. Mmmm, mmm. We drove a lot, looked at lots of pretty things, enjoyed a toilet museum, and of course, 3 cheese and beer soup. I didn't know you could make cheese and beer better. There's completely a reason menus say it's the soul of Wisconsin.
If you can get up to Kohler, I highly reccommend it. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I'd like to camp, or bum around some more tiny peninsula towns. Tiny log cabins high up in cliffs, skulking behind trees like wolves... My kinda place.
Been getting into Battlestar finally, Burn Notice on hulu, and amigurumi. What about you?
